One cost can be the wage of the app developer. They could be paid differently by either an hourly rate or for the whole project at once. This can impact the project as it may be expensive for the project to get done. It could be hard and if you want someone who is good enough to develop you app this will take up some time.

You will also have to pay for a design/name patent. This is so no-one steals your idea and claims it as their own. This would secure your idea for up to 7 years and protect your app.

One act of legislation is the Data Protection Act 1998. When reporting on a story, journalists cannot conatin so many details in the article. This is so the person is not found.

You have been offered a job as an apprentice for a company called Align Media. When they offered you the apprenticeship, you where required to sign a form giving the intellectual property rights of any work you produce to Align Media.

Explain why you were required to sign this form.

Any creative idea that i come up with will be the property of Align Media. This is because they are the company i have chosen to work for.

Identify one type of revenue stream that you could consider to make a website profitable and explain why this might be an effective method.

One type of advertisement would be banner advertisement of companies that have approached you personally. Align with products that are relevant and appropriate also the ones that students believe would find it easy to promote.

Question 5 Model Answer

Identify two ethical issues that you would need to consider before your team develops ideas on a documentary for refuges. Explain how these will impact on the project. 

One ethical issue might be featuring children in the documentary. In order to do this legally they need parents concent. This takes time and will delay the project because they will have less time to film. 

The second ethical issue is that the country you may want to document in many simply be too dangerous. If you were to document in a war zone your life would be at risk.

Identify one regularity body which could provide guidance with regard to creating a new advert for a children's charity. Explain your choice

The ASA organisation can give you advice on what would be appropriate to show. It also provides case studies of previous charity ads that were seen as not appropriate.
